Kurtys Kidd's latest single enters the NMT40 at #36 after five weeks of chart momentum.
Canadian alternative-rock artist Kurtys Kidd has reached another milestone with his single “Out On The Spiral Arm,” which debuted at #36 on PetRockRadio's New Music Top 40 (NMT40) for the week of October 18, 2026.
The debut marks five weeks of chart activity for the song, which began its journey on the station's New Music Indie (NMI) chart before advancing to New Music Rising (NMR), where it climbed to #4 after two weeks. The single has now graduated to the main New Music Top 40, appearing alongside artists including Green Day, Cage the Elephant, TALK and LOLO.
Blending the guitar-driven energy of '90s alternative rock with a contemporary edge, “Out On The Spiral Arm” explores the struggle between emotional isolation and the possibility of connection.
The song appears on Kidd's new concept album, This Dirty Machine, released September 30, 2026. Inspired by a solitary journey beneath the night sky, the album explores heartbreak, perspective and the search for meaning against the vastness of the universe.
The chart milestone follows growing radio support for the single, including a recent feature on 94.9 The Rock's Generation Next, hosted by John-Angus MacDonald of The Trews.
