“”Mary” is a song about a person who can’t commit to anyone or anything and needs to keep running to the next “bigger and better” thing to “move up” in the world,” Kurtys says. “Everyone is disposable and something better is always in the wings.”
On the creative process, Kidd says, “I wrote and recorded the song over two hot and sweaty days The song began with the idea to use the thickest fuzziest guitar tone and work from there.”
Aside from creating music, Kurtys is also a veteran of the screen. He’s appeared in series such as Murdoch Mysteries, What We Do in the Shadows, Earth: Final Conflict, La Femme Nikita, and PSI Factor, often portraying roles as intense and layered as his music.
